At the edge of the town center of Media, a streetcar suburb of
Philadelphia, a new small hamlet was developed in a very vernacular
form. The group of homes is a tribute to the late architect William
Price who practiced and lived in the neighboring area, Rose Valley.
Price was one of the great figures of the Arts and Crafts movements
in America for furniture, painting, ceramics and architecture.
The character of these homes draws from the simple, elegant details
created by by the carpenter and the artisan.
