On a nearly ten-acre site in the Seven Gates area of Martha's Vineyard, a new house was designed on a very steep slope. The house is a shingle style, with details taken from turn-of-the-century houses of the American Summer. The main rooms look over a rolling meadow to the spectacular water view and the Elizabeth Islands beyond. Interior design by Dara Stern.
